Naviance Workshop: Demonstration and Hands-on Learning (for Parents)

Tuesday, June 19 and Tuesday, July 31 (8:00 pm – 9:30 pm)

This is a hands-on workshop for parents where Guidance Counselor Vicki Kellum will show the college search and career tools available in Naviance that are available to you and your student.

College Applications 101: Navigating Both the Common and Coalition Applications (for Students)

Wednesday, June 20 and Wednesday, August 1 (3:00 pm – 6:00 pm)

This is a hands-on workshop that will guide students through filling out both the Common Application and the Coalition Application. Bring a computer with you and have an account set up in both the Common and Coalition applications as required.

Mock Interviews (for Students)

Thursday, June 21 and Thursday, August 2 (4:00 pm to 6:00 pm)

Prepare yourself for both a college admission interview and a job interview. Get feedback and advice from professionals. Individual interview times will be set up.

Financial Planning Seminar (for Parents and Students)

Wednesday, July 18 7:00 pm 

KJM Financial will discuss the FAFSA form and all the other information you need to understand in order to maximize the amount of financial aid you are eligible to receive! Even if your family is not eligible for need-based aid, KJM will cover the best strategies on how to pay for college in the most cost efficient basis — without it putting a strain on the rest of your finances.

Individual College Coaching (for students)

Ongoing appointments available throughout July and August

Sign up for a one-hour long individual coaching session with an experienced college coach. A coach will provide personalized counsel, strategies and planning to effectively navigate the college admissions process. The coaching will consist of three components:

  1. Introductory emails/calls to identify and align areas of focus.
  2. A one-hour in-person meeting
  3. A written summary at the completion of the engagement (Cost: $25.00)
