Princeton Symphonic Brass Artist in Residency Concert

March 16, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Princeton Symphonic Brass, a professional ensemble comprised of musicians from Central New Jersey, will be performing a concert at North Hunterdon High School on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the theater.  The concert will also include performances by the North Hunterdon High School Brass Ensemble.  The concert, sponsored by the North Hunterdon Education Foundation, is free and open to the general public.

During the school day on March 16th, the Princeton Symphonic Brass musicians will be working with North Hunterdon band students.  Students will participate in master classes with members of the Princeton ensemble and rehearsals will take place for the evening concert.  The idea for this collaboration and concert came from Larry Kursar, who is the conductor of the Princeton Symphonic Brass and teaches music in Lebanon Township.

According to their website (www.psbrass.com), the Princeton Symphonic Brass was born in 2016 out of a desire to assemble some of the best brass players from the top musical ensembles near Princeton. This is the first professional brass group of its kind in the area and each player jumped at the chance to be a part of this unique ensemble. The group’s repertoire spans from the renaissance to today.

Please join us for the concert on March 16th at 7:00 p.m. at North Hunterdon High School.
