The number of students in the Students AP Computer Science Principles class do not need to have prior coding experience.  However, since the number of students taking this class has doubled (between the 2016-17 and the 2017-18 school years), there is an expectation that more students may not be as ready to jump into the coding aspect without additional assistance.

By using Sphero Computer Programmable Balls, students will learn vital basics needed for success in the class.  The way students will code algorithms using the sphere is what students will be expected to do while taking the class.  This hands-on experience may be just the initiative needed to develop skills and collaborate on coding projects with their classmates.
