English Department E-Books for the Media Center 11/2015
Project Objective
To provide the Media Center 70 downloadable e-books, which comprise American Library Association award winners and non fiction titles about science, history, and health.
E-Books for NHHS Media Center
Circulation numbers show that student demand for e-books had been growing in recent years. With the entire NHHS student body 1:1 Chromebooks initiative starting in August 2015, all students have even greater access to e-books. This project enables the North Hunterdon HS Media Center to significantly increase their e-book inventory by 71 titles, a 37% increase from the 180 downloadable e-books currently available. Included are ALA Youth Media Award winners and some titles have unlimited checkout options, allowing multiple students – or even an entire class – to simultaneously read the same text. These e-books let students utilize technology to support reading and writing strategies across various subjects, as well as provide easy access to reading for enjoyment.
