The trustees of the North Hunterdon Education Foundation (NHEF) are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant in the amount of $7600 from Bristol-Myers Squibb for a North Hunterdon High School STEM program initiative, entitled ‘STEM Education Laboratory Research Support’.

This grant will enable our science department to incorporate sensor-based lab investigations in our coursework, and provide extensive hands-on opportunities for students to develop scientific literacy and familiarity with the practices of scientists and engineers. Mastering probe-ware and hands-on technology prepares students for 21st century STEM careers, a goal shared by the NHEF and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Summer Essay Workshop

The NHEF is focusing on providing career and college resources to North students. To support our college-bound seniors in preparing their college application essays over the summer months, the NHEF offered the College Bound Summer Series of workshops, programming and coaching.  Programs were offered to students and parents.  In Summer 2019, the NHEF will offer this programming again.

Legacy of Learning- Class of 2018

Thank you to all who participated in our 2018 “Legacy of Learning” initiative honoring our graduates. Each year, the number of graduates listed on the banner has grown.   All previous Legacy banners are prominently displayed at the graduation ceremony.

"Spring It On" at Beneduce Vineyards

Our third annual spring fundraising event “Spring It On” was held on April 20, 2018 from 6 to 10 pm at Beneduce Vineyards.   The evening consisted of catered dinner, wines from Beneduce Vineyards, silent auction and a live performance from Mr. Tom Kennedy, “The Other Mentalist.”

To see how NHEF is directing all funds raised, please go to the Grants In Action section of our website. You’ll see grants from many different departments at North.

As always, we THANK YOU for your ongoing support of NHEF.
